Photographer's Note

One more photo from Kala Patthar. This is taken maybe 10 minutes after sunset, most people were already gone, but the light was just getting interesting. The sky turned into deep blue and purple and the snow peak got even brighter against the darkening sky. I decided to make Lhotse the main focus point of the composition. Everest is still in view on the back to the Left. I could even see a few stars began twinkling in the sky. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay much longer, since it was getting really cold and we had to go down while there still some light, although we had flash light with us. Part of the trail is really rocky and hard to walk even during the day.

More information about Kala Patthar, see the note on my two previous posts.
