Photographer's Note
Before first light (boy was it cold) we set off from Lobuche to scale Kala Pattar for the classic view of Everest (8853m) and the mountain panorama that surrounds it. Unfortunately it was very cloudy and we couldn't see Everest at all from the top of Kala Pattar. But as we descended it was slowly revealed and I managed to get this photo.
You can see the West Shoulder of Everest on the left, then Everest herself (the black pyramid behind) and Nuptse (7803m) on the right.

i like the composition of the shot. the trekker looking at the massive mountain in front of him makes him ponder his next move... :D

These images are always impressive. I like very much the composition which, due to the person, invites on the way up.

The presence of the person makes this picture. His position invites us to comtemplate the mountains, and the jacket bring some "human" color to the photo in the midle of such cold colors.
It strange that I find some confort loking at the treker. Maybe it is because it is the only round shapes in such harsh environment.
