‘Pokhara - When the supply exceeds the demand’

Here my very last pictures (or at least the last ones that are presentable) of the Phewa Lake with its colourful boats.

Phewa Lake is the most visited lake in the country. Its proximity to the tourist place Pokhara has a lot to do with this.
However, Nepal has another lake that is even larger rand deeper, namely the Rara Lake.
At an elevation of 2.990 metres that lake is a lot more remote.

I stayed in Lakeside, Pokhara for quite some time and made all kinds of trips from there.
During those days I walked several times along the lake shores and there were always more boats moored than people who wanted to sail out.
There’s a central ticket booth that lists the prices of all types of trips.
You choose which trip you want to make, pay the price and with that ticket a staff member will row you during that chosen trip.
There’s also another company for boat rentals nearby that allows you to row yourself if you prefer that.
