...he is not our version of Santa Claus...a kid dressed in his turtle costume carrying a "turtle egg" which is what the Morong Turtle Festival is all about, during the day, small hatchlings are released to the sea after protective custody of the reservation.

The locals here used to hunt for these eggs for their meals but through public awareness they now monitor them whenever a mother turtle arrives to the shore at night to lay her eggs, this then is reported to the reservation center and where the eggs are later kept until they hatch and later released.

I was not able to control my exposure correctly as can be noticed on the overcooked white.
