Photographer's Note
Its been over a year since my last post...today I decided to share this shot of the Mayon Volcano located in the eastern province of Albay, Bicol region of the Philippines. Just dropped by via a jeepney ride in the town of Cagsawa to see if there is a good shot. Unfortunately the weather has not been perfect to get a shot of the peak but the rain clouds has been dramatic as well to get a good shot, just needed some long waiting for the sun to give this lighting mood. For travelers and photographers, this is a must destination.

Hi Alex,
I am more than surprised! no comments yet to such a wonderful painting-like picture?????
well, on second thought, it's not surprising... excellent photos often receive little attention, and I only have to ask myself again and again: why?
In a way, this very expressive landscape reminds me of an Impressionist painting.
It's very beautiful - even despite the fact that this picture is not really "rich in colours".
I am very impressed by the clouds, of course, which play the main role in this dramatic scene.
And I wonder if you shot it in RAW or in JPEG... :) for in such kind of weather only RAW images can "save" the moment...
best wishes,
Elena

Hi Alex,
A beautiful photo with a dramatic sky and in spite of the drizzle a beautiful light to brighten up the greens.
TFS!
