Boracay Rowing Team, a photo from Aklan, Western Visayas

Photographer's Note

A little change from the individual portraits to present you the Boracay team coming off their rowing boat after their twice daily training. The boat's name is Pearl Glaze.

They are getting prepared for the international race that is held every year here in march in Boracay between rowing boats from all over the world...They train early in the morning when the sun is not yet too high (around 7am) and just before sunset (around 5:30pm).

What i liked in this scene is the buzying group and the movement given by the blur on some around some fixed figures, together with the sunset atmosphere. You can see the white sand beach and the turquoise waters...

Quite a fussy compo, and interesting choice of low shutter speed, overall I think quite an effective shot of the scene, with the movement giving it some dynamism.

Eric bonsoir - c'est vrai que c'est trčs réussi et réellement dynamique avec ce flou de mouvement et ces autres personnes immobiles - tout ça sur la mer turquoise et le sable blanc est splendide -

Cela aurait été une photo banale.. Mais voilŕ il se passe que cet individu qui marche si rapidement en laissant une trainée de mouvement me plait beaucoup et apporte de la vie.
La couleur de la mer, et le naturel des personnages font de cette image une belle photo.

T'es vache de montrer des photos pareilles avec le temps que nous avons sur Paris!!!! Ras le bol de la grisaille et du froid! on va retourner dans le sud nous! lol

Very interesting compo and FG, lots of action and going-on on a sandy beach.
Amazing, some people have a privilege of swimming in February while over here the temperature doesn't rise over 0 degrees.

An excellent slice of daily life in Boracay... (unfortunately not in Ottawa!)-- what I adore most Eric are these beautiful colours, the white sand by the green and aqua-turquoise soft water by which the racers stand.

Trčs vivante cette prise. Excellente gestion du 1/10 sec !!!
Le flou de mouvement amčne du dynamisme et tu as une trčs bonne netteté malgré le 1/10 sur le reste.
Les couleurs sont magnifiques.

There is nothing sratic in this image, and that's the strong point. The image is sharp and gives you the envie to go swimming.

Some people I can recognize. Maybe play around with the colours more using curves? Try duplicating the layer and blend them using soft light.

des couleurs attrayantes, avec une scčne et compo laissant ŕ désirer et des réglages pour le moins curieux et hasardeux ??? ... je pense (mouai çŕ m'arrive :)))
fera mieux la prochaine fois ;)
... la "pagaie rasta", un détail qui me plaît bien ;)
