this dark tonation adds more sadness to the look of these children, kids are kids, but some of them have to live in a reality that is more harsh than others'
visually, i like this contrast between very dark shadows and the bright background and skin, generally the light is very interesting here, the overall impression rather melancholic. i like it a lot.

Beautiful expression, wanderful POV of this simply scene. How powerful can be a portrait? This one is for sure IMO one of the best ethnic portraits on TE. Spectacular tonality of colours.

A moving capture of this little trio, perfect POV and a curious mixture of emotions evoked: sadness for lives that will never be lived to their fullest, yet still a smile to be exchanged with one who find pleasure in his day.

What to say? I don't know, I felt like I wanted to pass it by, turn the face away like we westerners ultimately always do. The photograph is both literally anf metaphorically dar. But there is a little light in the grin of one child. But the torn vest and the thin hair of the smallest child are heartbreaking.

An amazing portrait well captured and very sad, especially the expression on the little baby. I like the light coming from the one side leaving most of the face of the girl in darkness.

The catchlight in the kids eye really stands out.. I think you didn't use flash, but what is source of lighting?
