Photographer's Note

El Nido, Palawan is one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been to. It is a photographer's paradise.

These two boys are tending their boat at the end of the day. The sky was perfect and the water was so still. Their expressions were also priceless.

Hi Manuel.

Did you make a post-processing to get this wonderful light, just at the right places (over the boat, on the kids)? The picture is wonderful, but we can see a kind of light halo around the kids, which normally appears when you play with clear/dark tones. Anyway, the picture is very beautiful and the composition perfect.

Hello Manuel

Excellent use of POV, the close up shot of these two boys makes for a great portrait in itself. Combine them like you have done here and the overall impression of the photo is very good.
Your use of light is very interesting, I haven't got to the point of experimenting with the light source setting...yet. But judging from your experience with it I should try it soon!
The use of sharp light on the boys is very good, they almost seem illuminated. Did you use flash to achieve this?

Hi Manuel. This is a great picture. The two kids are well positionned in the picture and the background is great ! The light on their faces is quite unbelievable. Had a look at quite a few portrait/people images this morning and this has to be among the best.The soft texture you have created is just lovely and very soothing to the beholder.The skyline and young children competing for attention but I think it is the latter that is my favorite.The composition is great and the image amazingly well balanced.Lovely work!

Excellent photo! The most I like is the mixture of landscape and portrait photography. They would be perfect separately too, but it's breathtaking this way!
I love so much the not so vivid cool colours, the light on the boys' face that makes their expressions special, the composition and the contrast.
If I wanted to be a perfectionist I would just mention the quality. 128 kb is a bit low here.
