Photographer's Note

This complex is one of the seven similar architectural type highrises built in Moscow in 1930s-1950s. This particular residential complex was designed and built in 1938-1940 and 1948-1950 under the guidance of architects D.Chechylin (Chief Moscow Architect) and A.Rostkovskiy, engineer L.Gohman.
Building was built in the mouth of Yayza river and completes with 26 floors with the height of 176 meters.
Complex has 700 apartments, stores, post office, cinema.
The other similar projects built in the same timeframe with look-a-like design are:
Moscow State University, Hotel "Ukraine", Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hotel "Leningradskaya", Kydrinskaya square apartment building, Red Gates square apartment building, Triumph Palace (the recent one).
