Photographer's Note
Palace Square in St. Petersburg
I made this photo for the rare expressiveness of sky and light. Famous architecture plays here only a role of a precious frame.

I like your composition. It is a different approach (not the usual type of posting we see here on TE), and in this case it works very well.

Нравится она мне чем-то. А чем именно не пойму. Может небо что-ли какое-то родное, может части дворцов его окружающие. Спасибо за фотку Питера.

I wonder what it would look like if you corrected perspective distorsion and cropped off the overexposed part of the sky.
Piter will lose much of its attraction without those heavy, leaden skies.
Well done, Lena.

Amazing sky and you used the architecture well as a frame. Perhaps it would be better if you cropped off the top at just above the statue on the left so to get rid of the overexposed areas. I think it would help add to the dramatic scene. Well spotted and photographed.

The sky is in fact very expressive, astonishingly cloudy, but whith enough light.
As already said, cropping just a little in the top (the sky is overexposed here) and on the bottom in left (whith a little perspective correction in PhotoShop) would improve the picture.
