Photographer's Note
Palace Square in St. Petersburg. You can recognise the same day of photo session that was posted here already. Of course it is a booklet-famous and hackneyed view, still each time seems to reveal something unique.
I tried some curves to balnce lightness in PS, but now I see it is still too dark. So I'll try tomorrow to repost more lightened variant.

What a wonderful sky !
The composition is good, a little lack of color in the bottom part of the picture.
I tried a workshop (cropping the bottom building to have only "tower" and sky)

Wow!! the sky on this photo reaally looks unreal. You have managed to get the exposure right to get a very balanced picture, which renders the awe-inspiring aspect of the sky and the column perfectly. The human element gives the scale. It makes me want to visit this place! By the way: I don't think it's too dark...

Very nice. I love the sky. The darkness isn't a problem. It looks just right with the sky as it is here. I really like the yellow building on the right contrasting with the dark sky. Your shot also captured the statue at the top of the column in a perfect spot, surrounded by the brightests light. It gives it a strong feeling that the statue is some divine being. Very nicely done.

What a dramatic mood in this pic ! Well seen Jelena, that's a very good shot.
Like Jonathan, your pic inspired me, and I'll post you another WS, I hope you will not mind.

Interesting composition, I had no idea that the square could be so empty of people. Most photos I've seen of it look much busier.
