From Siberia with love, a photo from Buriatia, East Siberia

The Russia in title was used already :)
From Irkutsk I made one day trip by Krugobaykalkiy Express. It is the old route of transsiberian, now used only few days a week for tourists. The train goes very close to the shore of Baikal Lake, has some stops for relaxing, boat trip and of course photos. The view were fabulous. With it I came to Sludyanka. Now in low season there are no marshrutkas to Arshan in Sayan mountains, I took the taxi. And it was better because the driver Irina stopped in some nice places for photos. Now I am back in Irkutsk.
The trip is fantatic. I see a lot and the people are very friendly to me. They give me small gifts as souvenirs, they like to chat with me, we exchange mail and Facebook adresses.
Tomorrow morning I go to Olkhon Island on Baikal, probably again three days without Internet.

On voit que les arbres commencent ŕ prendre leur couleurs d'automne. Le paysage ressemble beaucoup ŕ nos campagnes québécoises.Un beau point de vue sur la rivičre qui forme une belle diagonale dans l'image.

This is a very nice view from Siberia, looking very much like anywhere in northern Sweden (I have never been to any of those areas). Autumn is approaching and some trees have already acquired a fantastic yellow tone.

Yes, Malgo, you are right. And I do remember the 1st title "From Russia With Love" from the famous movie with 007 agent.
Excellent photo from Buryatia. I miss these places, I hope to visit Zabaikalye someday too. Attractive colors, we have good the Indian summer and warm sunny days now.

Hello Malgo

My stereotyped and clichéd idea of Siberia is all about intense cold, impenetrable forests and snow. You've shown me a completely different side of the place. This could so easily be in Scotland! I guess that is exactly what TE is for: teaching us about the world... Wonderful colours and composition.

Cudowne kolory jesienie bardzo ladnie kontrastuja z niebieskim niebem i woda.
Tak, ludzie bardzo sie dziwia, ze podrozuje sama. I w wielu krajach (w tych, w ktorych moge sie w miare plynnie dogadac) chca wszystko o mnie wiedziec. Ale prawie wszyscy sa nieslychanie mili i goscinni, tak jak ci, ktorych opisujesz tu w notce.

Hi Malgo,

I really do wish I could have continued on with you for this journey, but it sounds like you're having a great time just the same. :) Making friends and seeing the beautiful Russian countryside, a great way to spend any vacation! This is a beautiful rendition of the landscape, and one that is far removed from the association of a cold and harsh Siberia that most generally associate with this region. Autumn has arrived it would appear, better get back to where it's a bit warmer so you can continue to wear sandals. ;)

I'm loving following along in picture, and can't wait to see your impressions of Moscow....just don't beat me to posting any of the same pictures. lol Travel safely, and continue having a great time! All the best.
