Kazan Church has a beautiful interior too, what impressed me more was the hyper-realism of the frescoes.
As usual in many churches we have the four supports of the dome between the arches, this space is usually used to show the image of the Evangelists and the symbol of each Gospel. Here we can see Mark and the lion with wings, symbol of his Gospel.

A Igreja de Kazan tem um lindo interior, o que me impressionou mais foram os afrescos em estilo hiper-realista.
Como é comum em muitas igrejas, existem quatro arcos e quatro colunas sustentando uma cúpula, o espaço dos quatro suportes da cúpula geralmente é usado para mostrar os quatro evangelistas e os símbolos dos quatro evangelhos. Vemos aqui Marcos e ao lado dele o leăo com asas, símbolo do seu evangelho.

Oi Jorge,

Outra excelente foto aqui meu amigo. Enquadramento muito bom, cores e texturas e a luz no ponto para mostra-nos toda a beleza desta obra interior. Tudo muito bem pintado. o rosto é impressionante. haha...O livro, eu quase pensei que era um laptop.Vę se pode? Se fosse nos dias de hoje, bem poderia ser. Entăo a igreja năo é bonita só por fora năo hein? Que beleza de interior! Com a máquina ou com o celular vocę fez uma bela foto aqui Jorge. Muito agradável.

A good upward pov on the St Mark fresco high up on the ceiling. Good sharpness and colour and well managed low interior lighting. Tfs!

The tight frame is putting the artwork in evidence. The point of view is showing the details of the painting of St.Mark. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

I like all those curves making up quite special composition. You really chose your angle carefully. Lion with wings is special. And so is that golden halo around the head.

Hello Jorge,

What you show us is really beautiful!
The painting is quality! I am always surprised how the artists managed to get the perspective right when they are painting on a curved surface.
I'm not sure if you purposely placed the golden arc of the chandelier so neatly in the composition but I like how it appears to mimic the halo around Mark's head.

beautiful composition, you have very well selected a fragment of the decorative ceiling and the ornamental light chandelier.
The curves are well complementing each other here.
Very appropriate exposure as well with excellent final effect.

Hello Jorge, The church is not old so also the paintings inside are realistic. Nice view of the St. Mark AZpostle behind the huge chandelier. Amusing angels.

Magnífico POV de estas pinturas, a la vez que captabas parte de la gran lampara, muy bien el apostol con su animal representativo y los angeles, un buen conjunto.

Fortunately, a winged lion doesn't actually exist :)
