Photographer's Note

This photo was taken inside the Underwater World Singapore at Sentosa. The corals were so beautiful.

Underwater World Singapore is one of Asia's most popular oceanariums. It has more than 2,500 marine animals from 250 species.

Underwater World Singapore, situated on Sentosa Island, is a state-of-the-art leisure and educational attraction showcasing the rich variety of marine life to be found around the region, with educational and recreational activities available here.

At Underwater World Singapore, a 'voyage to the bottom of the sea' begins at the sandy beaches and shallow rock pools at the water's edge. From here, visitors start their descent, passing brightly coloured corals and all kinds of exotic ocean-dwellers along the way. Finally they come to a spectacular 83-metre-long acrylic tunnel, home to great shoals of fish, prowling predators and a host of other creatures that inhabit the ocean depths. Also on display are a variety of freshwater and estuarine creatures commonly found, yet difficult to spot in Singapore and neighbouring countries, in a simulated environment at the Singapore Wetlands Exhibit Hall.

The Dolphin Lagoon, an attraction of Underwater World Singapore houses our Indo-Pacific Humpbacked Dolphins, commonly known as pink dolphins for its coat of "bubbly" pink in contrast to the usual grey appearance of dolphins.
