The Gumi Export Industrial Complex, which began to be constructed in 1969, is a representative industrial complex and consists of four complexes, including textile and electronic industrial complexes. It is called the mecca of Korea's Silicon Valley and Korea Electronics Industries, and is the largest industrial complex in the country's interior with the aim of developing new products and promoting exports through technology-intensive, professional, and textile industries. The total area of the complex is 22,283 square kilometers, with 771 companies and 77,307 workers alone, accounting for about 21% of the population of Gumi.

It's my hometown, but there are many dark sides of this city. In the 1970s, workers in mountainous areas moved in large numbers to supply labor, but residential housing was very scarce. After purchasing land, many poor houses were created here and there. The reason is that the workers were very poor.
