Photographer's Note
The Korean War Museum hosts thousands of war relics and tributes to fallen soldiers.
None are more striking than the statues of brothers in arms at the centre of the outdoor exhibits.
Using the afternoon sky as a back drop, I silhouetted these soldiers. I hoped to bring out their stark contrast to the soft cloudy sky.
I got lots of good photos that day. This one I liked the most.

Excellent work David.
Great simplicity and graphism while carrying a lot of symbolism and meaning. It was a fantastic idea to shoot it in this way. There is a nice sort of feel to this compo because as was mentioned it conforms to the rule of thirds, hence it feels balanced and in synch. Good job.

Hi Dave,
your minimalist approach worked very well here. The strong contrast between the beautiful sky and symbol of such an emotional moment makes this a really powerful photo.
there is a small blemish on lower left part of the frame which could be stamped out easily but that's not important.
Well done!

Stunning image! What a powerful shot with this statue against the sky with beautiful cloud patterns - it is very moving with the position of these people. Great effect created!

the sky really makes this photo.. the silhouette doesn't look real it's been so well captured..
