Photographer's Note
i'm sick as hell while i type this note. i went out yesterday and had a wonderful time, but it was cold and i didn't wear a jacket. my head is thumping and my whole body aches like mad.
i posted this shot because it makes me happy. we all prefer not to be sick and wish for brighter skies when we are.
this simple shot is of some artwork in olympic park. they were very tall pieces of timber painted white. there were two columns of them. the white was sparkling and the sky was blue.
not to everyone's taste, but it makes me feel better.

Hi David,
Well, is it what we call abstract art?
What do you want to show here? The quality of the painting that could be different in Seoul? Do you think that we can learn someting about the world from that picture?
At least, good to see that you feel better with this picture, you could put it as your best screen background ;o
Nothing personal against you David, but sometimes, honnesty is better thant Wow! beautiful...It makes us better.

Hi David
Very nice symmetric composition. The colours and texture of the wood are also well done.

Hello David,
Like this simple composition! Love the contrast betwen the sky and the wood. The paterns present on the wood gives the final touch to it.
Well done.

Why does Seoul get all the blue skies? I don't think we've had what counts as a great blue sky for months down here in the south! Do you get clouds as well?

You are starting to get artistic David. Yesterday the lanterns and today this very abstract graphic shot. Its a good one. Great sky..did you use a polarizer?
Yesterday was fun. But I went out today and did a whole series on life outside the window of a Mr.Pizza I took my wife to:)

you wanna get artsy fartsy? naxius has bagged this photo a little too quickly i think. read the note, look at the photo. you feel bad and you look at the sky. you reach for it. the lines are your metaphoric fingers reaching up for something better, in this case, your health/feelings. i really like this shot. it's definitely your style. i like the fact that the blue isn't a single hue, but changes across the frame. naxius: "What do you want to show here?".. read the note, you don't want to show something, you want to feel it. "i posted this shot because it makes me happy." ... mission accomplished

By reading your note I am not everyone's taste, then, as your super-perfect blue sky cheers me up too.
These 6 simple white linear, plain pieces of wood, not simply enhance the blue colour of the sky, but because of their flat shape they also change dramatically the perception of it all: instead of a a sky stretching above, I see a sky floating beneath where I could dive into by jumping from the white wood. I would therefore rename your picture **DEEP DIVE IN THE VOID**.
Wishing you get better soon, cheers, --amz

Artwork in the olympic park, but the way you show this, is an artwork too. Bright, clear, great and simple shot !
