Photographer's Note
I have been playing around with night scenes and HDR for a little while now. I took the advantage of an unexpected break from my classes to run out and snag this shot. I think it turned out ok.
I used my camera's bracketing mode to take 3 pictures of the same scene. one underexposed by 2 stops, one normal and one over exposed by 2 stops.
To combine them you can either use photoshop and look under the automate functions for HDR (it sucks) or download photomatrix. Then it is just a matter of tone mapping and your regular pp and it comes out looking very cool.

Hi Jason,
This definitely looks cool! It's almost surreal looking but I guess that's what happens for most of the HDR shots. I like the tents(?) on the foreground, reflections and sky. Only minor thing - it looks like it's leaning a bit to left. Good job!
Cheers!

HellO! Very nice shot of a modern city, beautiful colors gamma, a few plans, nice reflections in water and good frame. A bit funny composition with a small tents on the right and big block of flats on the left. Good work - my congratulations! Regards! Andrzej

This is a great HDR shot Jason! The colours are sweet as is the exposure. I love the detail of the mountains and the sky. But, I think that the photo needs a spot of cloning in the bottom right of the photo. I can see part of a tree entering the frame and also a couple of dust spots surrounding it.
Thanks.

Nice shot. The colours are great. Very nice. I must say I quite like what HDR can do. Things always look powerfully colorful.Love the purple sky.
