Photographer's Note
I try to capture the dreamy atmosphere before sunset,by the longer exposure.Hope you feel the same ambiance like me.
At the bottom, the exposure is 20 seconds,at the sky is 2 seconds. The contrast beteen sky and sea shore is strong,so I used a piece of black card waving in front of the lens,to avoid over exposure.

It is exactly like a dream - the exposure made it unreal. I love the colors. Did you have to do any post-work? Can you tell us more about this place in your photographer's note?

The long exposure almost turns water into mist, and yet the rocks keep a very sharp texture. Very nice !

superb shot Pauz.. did you use an orange filter or pp on PS? the use of long speed and close aperture was certainly an excellent choice to get this dreamy and foggy aspect;-))bravo!

A very appealing and moody result. Technically very good executed, my only suggestion that might improve the composition is to crop that rock attached the lower left corner. But consider that as just being my tiny little nit-pick, your capture is of great quality!

Very good atmosphère, the long exposure (how long ?) is definitely a good idea. Your technique is perfect, but Clochette is right, you should participate by criticizing the picture of other members.

Pauz this is a perfect dream pix straight out of Total Recall! I remember we used to try and make such landscapes in a software called KPT Bryce but never got it real. Especially the idea of controlling overexposure and making the hill dark and the rocks vivid with that detail is very nice. Well thought and executed. Please tell what kind of post processing was done.

Hello Pauz,
Your photo is a beautyful result of hard PP work.
The rocks on the moody bottom of this photo looks like peaks hidden in the clouds :) Amazing

Great color and the effect of the long exposure with the waves is great. I give you credit for coming up with a technique on how to do a long exposure without overexposing the top part. Good work

Nice ..good composition, and very creative way to do a split ND filter.
However, it appears to have underexposed the mountain there. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not; on the one hand, it creates a nice silhoutte; on the other hand, the transition to silhoutte looks unnatural. If you'd rather have only the sky be ND'd like that, I would try doing multiple exposures and combining them in photoshop.
Then again, the more I look at it, the better that silhoutte looks ..hmm. Not sure how I feel about it, really.

I will now have to try some long exposure photos to see how I will go. I will try to use the black card swiping.Just a very little crop/brush out of the left hand rock out of the picture would give it a more balanced effect.
