Stroll in the Park, a photo from Kuhistoni Badakhshon, East

Photographer's Note

Khorog City Park at dusk. The park is open until 11 pm and I don't know if there are still any visitors so late in the evening but at 6 pm, when this photo was taken, it is full of life.

I'm sure nobody noticed... The last two images of Khorog Park I posted on this site were dated 15 October and this one 22 October. Can anyone guess where I travelled between those dates?

Gert figured it out as soon as the word "Tajikistan" had left my computer keyboard... But Gert knows my travel wish list better than most.

Ciekawa reporterska seria zdjec z Khorog. Ten tydzien zapewne spedzilas nad pieknym jeziorem a pozniej w rownie urokliwych gorach ktore otaczaja to miasto a miejscem wypadowym byla zapewne jakas pustelnia:)
Jak bylo faktycznie .... moze pokazesz

Cześc Kasiu, Gert wie, a ja sie domyślam, po spojrzeniu do Google Map, gdzie byłaś w tym czasie :). Chyba pojechałaś na południe.
ładne zdjecie tego parku, chociaż właściwie mogloby być zrobione wszędzie. Tam wokół bardzo wysokie góry, ciekawa jestem, czy je pokażesz.

Hello Kasia,
The park seems to be full of life, but I also see at least two or three ghosts...;-)The steep mountain in the background is an interesting complement to the view. The long rows of lamps create a pleasant atmosphere among the people enjoying the blue hour in the park. As you say, both WS photos could also have been main uploads. The two beautiful ladies are such perfect eye-catchers that most people probably wouldn't even notice that annoying bum.

Hello Kasia,,

You quote good reasons why your w/s photographs shouldn't be used as main ones but I think they would have been fine, no matter the objections. I love the shadow patterns on the bridge and the ladies in trad. costume (never mind the proffered bottom!)
However, this photograph fits the bill, too!
It is well composed and creates an excellent sense of perspective.
The lamplights, particularly in the distance, give the impression of torchlight procession.
It is busy. Are these people just strolling in the park at 6 o'clock or do you think they are returning from work?

A superb blue hour shot with good sharpness and nice warm cold colour contrasts with the artificial yellow illumination. The path adds perspective. I like the starbursts & motion blurred people. Tfs!

Kasia, that park represents the perfect spot to stroll by evening. The visitors can enjoy the alleys and the fresh air. Fine colors, good image quality, regards.

what a difference the time of day makes...now I know that's a stupid thing to say and an obvious thing...but you know what I mean. Look at the park shot in the WS compared to this one...its SOOOO different mood wise. I prefer this one.
The blue hour light up top is always a welcome bonus. and in the WS its great to see the local women wearing local cultural appropriate clothing...lots of interest in both shots

Excellent shot with the "star-shines" and the blurred pedestrians. The WS are also nice addition. As I see, these traditional clothes are popular among the young too.

Very entertaining endeavour into the evening low light, fantastic colours... what really adds intrigue is the ghosty figs walking...
