Photographer's Note

Our bike travel of the highest category of difficulty over Tajikistan started from Khujand International Airport situated near the town of Chkalovsk. The city of Khujand itself is located at the distance of 11 km from its airport.

In the picture you see the square at the place where Gagarins Street (at the right) forks from the central Avenue of Ismoili Somoni (at the left). Here the hotel "Ekhson" (meaning "Favor" or "Gift") is situated.

it´s a nice example of new,modern architecture in this I think less known and seen on TE country.But above all it´s a perfect composition that makes the scene so pleasant and eye-catching for us!I really enjoy the perspective you chose and the way you framed the scene.Together with so lovely light and strong and nicely contrasting colors make the scene really one of a kind!

it's very impressive that you made such a difficult bike travel in a hot month like August. The heat is easily felt through the strong lighting of your picture. You found a lovely point of view to present the tall building and its surroundings with the fine addition of a very nice, contrasting foreground. We get real less picture out of these area.
Wonderful found with flowers in foreground and these specially building in background, wonderful architecture image. with fountain and double building.

very interesting the shapes of this buildings and the fountain in front of it. I liked the view and the framing. in the background we have an idea of the arid mountains of this area. TFS this not so famous part of the world.

Tajikistan is not very popular destination for travelers so not many photos from there on TE.
