Photographer's Note

Another shot of the little boy that I posted last week...still from my Lopburi trip last month.

Since this boy was playing like there was no tomorrow, I was able to explore all possible angle taking a picture of him. In photography, exploring different POV is vital...in this case, the lighting is a lot better and the ruins in the background transport us to the days of the past.

Lopburi is a charming province. This boy is just one of its many charms. I will post more...

Great shot. I dont have words to say you what I think about your wonderful photo. Well done it's too bit. Thank you. It's a shame that you have cut the hand of the little boy, but the lights and coulors are perfect.

Manny, stupendous shot, how you keep that background so dark so the bubbles really POP. Also the clarity of focus on the child's head. i think I lkke tis even more than the first version. Great stuff! Cheers, Francis

Great shot the girl seems so much concentrated on her job! In fact her bubbles are very nice, so is your composition, with this blurry background.

The focus is spot on. Manual or auto? The light and colors are just so lovely. Would have liked a wee bit more space behind the boy. Too tight there IMHO.

Look forward to more suchcharming shots from Lopburi. :)

Amazing shot Manuel;

You really prove the point you mentioned in your note... POV is vital, and I think you managed the best POV here. I like the way the bubbles are soooo visible and seem to 'pop' right off the screen.

Brilliant shot... I like how serious this kid looks, he is learning about physics by playing with the bubles...

You know what makes me mad... I was in a park yesterday and kids were playing with bubbles, and I didn't think of taking pics of them playing with the bubbles...I took many pictures of other kids and my grand-son but never of the ones playing with the bubbles..

Hi Manny. I think this one is better than the previous - the profile and the way in which the sunlight works here seems to do so much more. And there are more bubbles :-) Excellent scene in which he seems so absorbed by his activity. Again a very nice and supportive DOF. Great job.

This is a beautiful portrait !
I like the light and the composition. The dof is perfectly mastered, as usual in your shots.
The reflections in the bubbles and the little drops in the air are great. This is created by the backlight.
The color contrast between the brown background and the violet clothes is perfect.
