Sawasdee kha Willy and Welcome to TE !
Your first shot is a great tribute.
The combination of the light coming from the candles and the sunset is beautiful.
Nice perspective.

I had such a good time at Patong Beach and even at Kata and Karon ... I left for Germany 2 weeks before Tsunami. I left a candle at the dome in Cologne in memory for the victims. Impressive picture!

Wonderful, poignant. I imagine a candle for every life lost. Excellent shot, the sea looking so calm now, hard to think what terror it brought just a month earlier. So far from where I live (Ireland), but I visited Thailand (including Phuket and Phi Phi) as well as Sumatera, I feel for those families who have lost loved ones. A prayer to each of them.
