~ distracted ~, a photo from Samarkand, East

Photographer's Note

This is very much a grab shot, a picture of ordinary street people, a market vendor taken at Siob Dekh Khan Market in Samarkand. She while concentrating on something was a dream to tog so many beautiful
thoughtful expressions. In general, the Uzbeks are hospitable and cheerful lot in fact this friendly face can be found almost everywhere. A bit of scouting around, patience and common sense are the keys.

I thought she's photogenic enough even without eye connections.

Setting: 210 mm, 1/250 sec, F4.5, ISO Raw 200, 1005 hrs

A good vertical portrait of this woman, well timed while she was looking to the side. Her clothes in combination with the gentle lighting make the view very colourful. Great work.

The lady's expression was certainly worthy of your camera!
What I like most, is how well you fitted her into the frame. Her eyes are exactly in the right thirds line and she is looking into the space that you have left.
Excellent use of shallow dof.
