Unlike any parts in Vietnam that people always afraid of flooding, but you will see It's weird in ChauDoc, An Giang; People always look forward to seeing the flood coming. It's usually comes from september to november every year- It flows from ChiNa into Mekong delta, including AnGiang - and if you come here you may see that people go fishing every where with various tools. all of that place will be flooded and surrounded by water. People work on their boats since the morning till afternoon. In addition,there are many kinds of birds coming here at that time so It's also a great time for photographers and travellers to explore something new in Mekong Delta.

I call it is an international spot due to the people live here, including Vietnamese,Cambodian, Champa. So the cambodian people have three new years each year, and many festival-The Khmer ethnic people annually celebrated their traditional Ok Om Bok Festival on the Full-Moon day (15th day) of the middle Winter to shows their gratitude to the Moon Goddess for giving them a bumper harvest and rich aquatic sources.
If you visit ChauDoc, you can also visit Ba Chua Xu temple, Sap and Cam moutain. They are worth seeing.
