Photographer's Note

A Dzay minority girl was cooking her family supper in the tradition "kitchen" while final rays of the sun crossing the bamboo wall.

In most of the Vietnamese families in rural area without electricity, the so-called "kitchen" is just a corner where we set a cooking tripod to cook one course at time — normally the rice boiler first and when this is half done and arid, we lay it off on the floor next to the tripod and rotate it so the heat would complete the rice-cooking slow process.
