Photographer's Note
This is a general view of the Malecon as seen from the fort. Here you can see the barrier to keep the water off. In this particular day, the tide was very low, thus uncovering the rocks below. Other days the water hits the barrier really strongly wetting cars nad pedestrians on the road.
This people are fishing or just hanging out. Notice the beautiful decaying architecture lining up the Malecon.
One day this will be really expensive real estate. Havana has the potential of being a world class city. Maybe when the bearded one dies.
Sorry, light was kind of harsh.

hi daniel i am pretty sure there are chances to recover this photo from the consequences of the harsh light; and it would be worth a lottle efford as this is a marvellous composition, just a bit improvement of quality would do good to it; anyhow - i like it;
have a nice day, jerzy

Nice and gritty view of the city. I like the harsh lighting and the apparent high contrast. It adds a roughness to this shot that matches the rough looking beach and rough waters. Even the buildings are nice and worn and tough as nails looking so it really comes out as a very hard image of a rough place. Havana certainly appears to have a lot of potential and as you say perhaps one day.
