When the sky is cloudy sometimes the photogenic aspect is better than during a sunny day ... Here une lovely contrast colors between the blue water, the grey sky and the red flowers in the FG.
Taken on a public beach in Monrego Bay

it is difficult to fine a beach with so
many trees near to the sea but the grey
sky ives the feeling of the coming
storm
you are right with your phrase

Hello Jean,
this place looks like a lost paradise and the colors indeed are gorgeous. The red flowers with their vibrant tones create very contrasting and eye catching foreground and also frame the picture nicely. The whole final result gains a lot from darker sky which gives really interesting background to the scene.
Very pretty composition with discreet presence of the people.

la foto č costruita molto bene nella composizione con il bel contrasto tra i colori cupi del cielo e il rosso e il verde della vegetazione.
Al centro, poi, il mare e la spiaggia incantano con i loro colori .

La distance entre les deux rives donne de la profondeur ŕ l'image. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs du paysage tropical. Le ciel nuageux donne un bon contraste aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

L'endroit parfait pour des vacances. On ręve tous d'une plage semblable. Peu importe si le ciel est gris, il fait tout de męme chaud. Les couleurs ressortent parfaitement.

The light is beautiful here, it seems even with the grey sky the sun has lit the colors perfectly to make them burst from the screen. The reds and greens are really full of life and vitality. I love these scenes with such light and a grey cloudy sky, beautiful.

Your note tells it perfectly, sometimes a heavy sky makes for a better opportunity. This is certainly the case here, creating that rich contrast in colors while setting an atmospheric overtone...quite literally. :) A wonderful arrangement of layers and elements progressing from front to back. Never been here, its not really my thing - being around beaches all the time - but i can certainly understand why most people love coming here.

who says you need warm colorful skies to make a sweet photo! the grey brooding skyline is excellent here.
and it diffuses the light on the ground too.

Certo un paradiso come la Jamaica aiuta molto ed hai assemblato perfettamente i colori di cielo-mare-fiori.

yes, I like a lot this kind of dark sky to make photos. the clear waters and the light in the foreground created a marvelous contrast, anyway the image would be not so rich without these red flowers and those personages. TFS.

You are right Jean, the cloudy sky adds to the beauty of this scene and the overall colours are more subtle than would be the case in blazing sunshine. I like the diffuse light which still gives nice contrasting detail on the trees.

I get the impression you have a passion for warm tropical climes.... who can blame you?
