A small street in Berat near the castle.

Berat Castle is a fortress overlooking the town of Berat, Albania. It dates mainly from the 13th century and contains many Byzantine churches in the area and Ottoman mosques.[1] It is built on a rocky hill on the left bank of the river Osum and is accessible only from the south. It is situated at an elevation of 214 metres,

Berat is a city and a municipality located in south-central Albania, and the capital of the County of Berat and also one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. In July 2008, the old town called Mangalem district, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Cette voie pavée avec le milieu creusé pour permettre le ruissellement des eaux donne une idée de l'époque des constructions environnantes.
Un cadrage trčs bien réalisé et une vue trčs appréciée.
La note vient compléter la prise de vue avec succčs.

Cześć Piotrze,
Bardzo ładne zdjęcie tej uliczki w miasteczku na górze kolo zamku. Miałam w Beracie dość dużo czasu, więc dość długo krążyłam po tych różnych zaułkach. Urocze miejsce.
NA Cyprze teraz temperatura okolo 18 stopni, do wody włozyłam tylko palec :), czytałam, że w grudniu temperatura wody to 19 stopni. Słońce cały czas, wieczorem troche chmurek, co czyni zachód słoca ciekawszy. Duzo kwiatów.

A very nice photo from the castle area of Berat. This was a delightful part of the city where I got the impression that people were almost living in an outdoor museum. To a large extent these streets must have loked the same for a very long time.

Ciekawy światłocień, ciekawa szara, popielata kolorystyka (nie umiem tego dobrze określić). Interesujący zaułek i ludzie w kadrze zajęci jakimiś swoimi tajemniczymi sprawami, jak to w Albanii, pewnie w coś kombinują, jakby tu przeżyć do jutra, albo do przyszłego tygodnia.

This is not a glorious access road to a castle, but I like this silent small road that shows the daily life in a small village.
The people and their attribute contributes to this peaceful relaxed atmosphere.

Old bricks built walls and houses, hard to take a guess when those were built, piotr.

Hello Piotr,
What a lovely little street. I love the surface of the street; although it is still called cobblestone in English, we use a special word for this in Turkish: Albanian pavement. You see In Turkish we make a distinction between a street paved with regular, rectangular shaped stones (parke - cobblestone) and irregularly shaped stones (Arnavut kaldırımı - Albanian pavement).
