Photographer's Note
The Vienna Zoo, located on the grounds of Schloss Schönbrunn, has wonderfull year-round displays, including this one from the Himalayas. The pen is shared by mountain goats and snow monkeys, who have evidently developed a symbiotic relationship - the monkeys pick nits off the goats for food, helping both. I saw the monkeys playing on and around this stationary goat and began snapping as many shots as I could; this one came out as perfectly as I could imagine, with the monkeys almost posed atop a goat who appears to be looking directly into the camera, with almost a resigned look on his face.

Hello Andrew,
This is certainly an eye catching shot, a juxtaposition of an unlike pair of species, and perfectly in harmony with each other. Bravo!
Warm regards,

Andrew I would like to suggest Get these monkeys off my Back for title. Very good capture...and it appears the poor goat does not mind at all, with the hard working duo on his back his coat looks nice and clean...

Hello Andrew,
You say that this is a display and that the goat is stationary, so one tends to assume that it is a 'stuffed" goat, but the monkeys were "playing" and they have a symbiotic relationship with the goats, so they must be for real. In any event, an unusual shot. Best wishes.

Hi Andrew
A great `fun` picture.
The goat looks quite at ease, but the monkeys look as though they are sulking.
Even so, you did well to get this image.
Best Wishes Gladys.

Andrew
Well done for seeing the opportunity for this shot. It does look like these animals have posed deliberately for the camera, although the monkeys have a rather serious expression. A fine humerous capture.

Nothing worst then having a monkey on your back, but two..........LOL. I had to stop and comment on this, they look like really good friends here and very comfortable with each other.
Great colors and light management, very natural!! Your POV is very cheerful and funny, which is just what I needed today, so thank you for that.
Cool presentation Andrew, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Andrew,
"Tolerance". " The usefulness of friendship between different races". These are two titles I would have suggested if it had been compulsory !
The picture is absolutely delightful, the animals so cool and appealing. I often find they can teach us lessons in their behaviour.
In this kind of usefulness, egrets play the same part on top of cows. I am sending you a WS of such a scene which I often saw while I was in India.
Best regards.
Marie-Louise.

Hello Andrew
Monkeys' self-sufficient posture suggests they are the owners of goat that relay on thier presence to make the most of this situation, playing cute and tolerant!!
Very funny and unusual poster, indeed!
Cheers.

Hi Andrew,
The monkey is my favourite mammal they are so full of life & cheekiness & these two look as if they have had a fight or are just not happy to have their photo taken... The goat really does look as if it is a stuffed animal - excellent capture of him/her -perfectly framed - natural colours & WONDERFUL clarity.
Kindest regards,
Dawn.
