Photographer's Note
ANTWERP CENTRAL STATION is bordered by the zoo on one side and the Pelikaanstraat (Pelican Street) on the other side.
THIS PICTURE is the view along the Pelikaanstraat, a sight I know very well, as for me this is the route into the center both by bike and, when it rains too much, by bus.
The main feature here is the enormous ochre train hall of the station. This iron and glass train hall covers an area of 12,000 square metres. The height of the station was necessary for dissipating the smoke of steam locomotives. These days it houses a modern multi-level set of platforms.
The towers visible in the distance mark the main entrance to the station itself. This is on the side of the main station building, which is a direct opening onto the Keyserlei leading to the center of things.
PELIKAANSTRAAT is very much part of Antwerp's jewish district. There are a few hotels, and many diamond and gold shops.

This picture was shot from more or less the same location as my previous post.

Goedenavond Benny,

Vele groeten, Paul

Hi Benny,
Good 3D result with this great perspective, well framed, good effect with red lines and the focal point in the Bg with the tower, well seen and taken, good quality for the rendering, tfs.

Hi Benny
Great Architectural image from the great city of Antwerpen as you are greeted by the magnificent train station. Love the narrow long perspective and the red colour of the facade against blue sky. A good lead-in through the road with the vehicles giving added interest, it's a fantastic place to wander around and make pics.
Best regards

Hello Benny,
This is an interesting building and a good observation. The realization of the photo helps us to feel the dimensions of the building.
Best Wishes,
Gy.
