My bicycle trip (36 km) to the farm for children with different animals
Also, a misty moment, next pictures become better the sun came through the clouds
Second picture about the same subject but other side, also nicer closer.
Description
Former farm "De Zeven Torentjes", now used as a petting zoo. Originally "'s Heer Boudewijnsburg" an important fief on Assebroek and dependent on the Burg of Bruges.
Initially, the domain is a free heritage named Ter Leyen. Boudin or Boudewijn de Vos, alderman and treasurer of the city of Bruges, acquired the property in the second half of the 14th century. In 1372 it was fairly well borrowed from the count and from now on it is given the name of the owner, "'s Heer Boudewijnsburg". The walled-in domain is then 38 ha and has 40 back loans on which it has a low jurisdiction.
You can see the pigeon tower in the middle
Pigeon Tower: 16th century (?), Brick construction on an octagonal plan with crowning brick spire. At the base of the spire are the (eight!) Corner turrets, each of which has a flight opening. Inside there are 650 L-shaped niches in which the pigeons nest. The downstairs space is covered with a brick vault. Above this is the actual pigeon attic.
I hope you like it.

Hallo John,

Vele groeten, Paul

Hello John,
The pigeons living here should consider themselves privileged to have a castle at their disposal. Their tower is beautiful, and I am amazed that buildings like this were specially made for birds. By the time you got here the light was good and the photo turned out very nicely without any haze. The colours are excellent.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello John, I am glad that you have been able to give us a close up of the Dove tower. What a fine building.
It seems to be in very good condition.
A good point of view, we can see all the details very clearly.

Hi John
I love the layout having the tree branches as natural framing pointing us to the main focal of attention. The old tower grabs the eye almost instantly, with immense detail throughout
packed by rich colours and superb tones. Wonderful catch

Hi John,
indeed we recognise this shape from the previous photo however it was present there just as a silhouette which promised something interesting.
Here we can admire this inyteresting structure in all detail and in the nicely composed context of the surrounding.
Very well seen and captured,
M

Hello John,
You travelled quite a way on you bike, to see this.
As a dove cote, it is very elaborate, with its eight small towers, arranged around the upper part of the cote. giving it the appearance of a mini castle.
I like how you have used the branches of the tree and edge of the f/g building, for a sense of depth and as a link to the similar masonry.
As always, a fine exposure!
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Hello John,
This is a charming setting, with interesting brick structures. The tower in the center is unique on top, and I also like the dark orange roof in the foreground. It looks very quiet there, too... Take care!

Hello John,
Nice picture of this old place. The cloudy day together with this scenery gave a mysterious look to the photo. Your photo was taken this year, but if it had been taken 600 years ago, it might not have been much different, as the scenario seems to have changed little since the time of its construction.
Best wishes from Brazil

Hallo John,
Impeccable sharpness as usual with the bg dove and its many turrets making an obvious focal point. Natural looking colour and well framed and composed. Tfs!

Hi John.
This composition is wonderful, in which the eye is stopped in this beautiful and original tower, a style that had not been seen before, for the benefit of the pigeons, very well the environment with the tree branches and the brick wall.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and the magnificent composition; They are all perfectly realized factors, in this nice image.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
