Question of the day : Why does Liege organise each year a wonderful fireworks on July 14 ?

At the end of the 2nd World War, some friends gathered in order to celebrate with dignity the found values of freedom, equality and fraternity. They choosed, as a symbol, July 14th.

In the meantime, the non-profit-making association ‘Les Amitiés françaises de Liège’ was created. Nowadays, it is composed of around 50 voluntaries.
One of their actions is the famous firework organised each year along the river Meuse, a way to promote the French-liege friendship, to develop French culture and to keep the memory of the history which links us to France.
