Photographer's Note

Lhôtel de ville actuel (devenu antenne administrative commune de Ličge) a été bâti sur lemplacement quoccupait depuis 1843, un immeuble qui servait ŕ la fois de maison communale et décole.

Le 24 décembre 1903, le conseil communal de Chęnée, sous la présidence du bourgmestre, Mr. Charles Leduc, décide la construction dune maison communale plus en rapport avec la situation de la commune. Ce sera luvre de larchitecte L. Monseur.

La façade principale a une largeur de 17m, celle de la rue du Gravier 28m. Le bâtiment empičte sur le lit de la rivičre de maničre ŕ ce que louverture de la rue du Gravier soit au moins de 10m. La hauteur totale du bâtiment, flčche comprise est de 37,5m.

Le 8 septembre 1944 lédifice sera endommagé et le 31 mars 1947, le bourgmestre, Mr.Delbouille inaugure lhôtel de ville restauré.

Il est élégant ce bâtiment dans cette nuit noire. La trčs belle qualité d'image révčle bien les détails de l'architecture.

This is a fine night shot! The lighted building stands out nicely against the dark sky. The colored lights add a nice splash of color for the scene. The reflection adds nice depth to the scene.

Salut Jean-Louis. Question de qualité (couleurs, netteté, illumination) et composition je trouve que c'est une belle photo. Par contre, j'ai l'impression que l'ensemble est légčrement penché.

Beautiful nightshot and excellent architecture photo at the same! Although I usually prefer the "blue" hour, I must admit that in this case the total darkness around the castle, brings out better all of its beauty! Excellent framing and composition! Congratulations!

Salut Jean Louis,
Superbe image de cet Hotel de ville qui émerge de la nuit. L'éclairage, parfaitement saisi, nous permet d'apprécier la trčs belle architecture.
Je ne sais pas ŕ quoi correspondent les lumičres de couleur, mais cela donne un petit côté insolite que j'aime bien.
