Sint-Annakerk (St Annes Church)

This simple Gothic single-nave church, built in the 17th century, surprises with the opulence of its rich Baroque interior - the result of donations by wealthy local patrons. Admire the intricacy of the marble rood-screen, the rich wooden paneling with inset confessional booths, the canvases of Jan Garemijn and the largest single painting in all Bruges.

a lovely interior, we can see some areas with many adornments and other parts not so well adorned. that altar and the carvings at left are fantastic. nice general view.

De foto geeft een uitstekend overzicht van de kerk en alle details aan de wanden en gewelven, inclusief de vele schilderijen. Het licht dat door de grote ramen naar binnen stroomde was ook mooi.

The couple, probably the tourist, admire this beautiful interior. Nice altar with the spiral columns. Strange that there are just the chairs and not the benches. Nice wooden confessional boots. Excellent composition, nice symmetry, perfect sharpness and colours.

Hello John,
We get a good view of the attractive interior of this late Gothic and Baroque church. The remarkably good light streaming through the large windows makes it a perfect place for photography. The two persons add an interest to the composition, but I find these chairs strange for a church. I suppose they were only there temporarily for a concert or something.

Perfect sharpness and superb interior lighting which can be a problem sometimes in gloomy interiors. No such problem here! Good sharpness and the couple in the fg animate the scene. Tfs!

Dag John,
Waarschijnlijk zit de kerk de komende dagen wel een stuk voller.
Steeds meer mensen kiezen voor een jaarlijks bezoek aan de kerk met kerstmis en steeds minder gaan trouw elke week.
Deze twee bezoekers bewonderen het prachtige interieur van de kerk op hun gemak.
Ik wens jullie goede Kerstdagen en groet uit een zonnig Haarlem (met de eerste zelf opgewekte stroom van de zonnepanelen op mijn dak)

Hallo John, that church interior is richly decorated with chandeliers, paintings, panelings in precious wood, altar candles and sculptures. The visitors seem to be in awe of so many beauties. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.
