This is not the first and not the last time I show this array of colourful townhouses at the Markt Square in Bruges. This time I photographed them in the context of the horse carriages, which I definitely remember seeing in Johns photos before. Similar to the boat trip tour, a carriage ride is a popular attraction for tourists there. The fee for a ride was standardized and in August 2019 it was 50. I believe you can share the carriage with as many people will fit in. I think it lasts about 30 minutes with a short break for the horse.

Hello Mariusz,
The houses around the square are beautiful, they all have similar shapes, but are all different. Their colours are appealing, especially in this bright sunlight. The flags and the horse and carriage make a great foreground as well.

I remember going on a carriage ride when I was there, it was very worthwhile, but it didn't cost as much as that. We shared with friends so, of course, the cost was spread. I wasn't into photography then, so no photographs to share.

You have shared a range of images, here. First the horse, which looks in very fine condition and well cared for, not like some animals that we see on TE. The whole f/g looks very leisurely, no haste, no fuss, just a calm, touristy scene.
I like how the tall flagpoles seem to divide the eclectic facades which make up the b/g. It's a fine setting.
The green verandas make a very effective separation line between the f/g and the attractive buildings.

Zwiedzanie w ten sposob miasta jest dosc specyficzne, ale niewatpliwe musi byc popyt na te usługi skoro sa dorozkarze i dorozkarki:)

ps. Nie mialem czasu na organizowanie wrzesniowego wyjazdu stad decyzja skorzystania z gotowej objazdowki zorganizowanej przez biuro. Ma to swoje zalety i oczywiscie mnostwo wad - ale zawsze lepszy taki wyjazd niż żaden :)

Mariusz, the people on the right are waiting for a ride on the horse carriage. It is already busy with two ladies wearing hats. The brown horse looks healthy. The buildings in the bg give a glimpse to the Flemish architectural style. Good image quality, excellent light.

Hello Mariusz,

Bruges looks like one of those must see places if ever you're in Belgium. I love the repetition of the distinctive step pyramid roofs. The fg horse and carriage add depth and layering & are a common sight in many European cities. Tfs!

This photo was taken on a spot in Bruges where you get the most colours in the image. The reddish tones of the facades, the canopies above the terraces, the different flags, the people and the horse on the foreground provide a colourful and lively scene.
