Photographer's Note
This is a sundial which you can see in the courtyard of the Děčín Castle. The castle is situated right in the centre of the city and its history dates far back into the Middle Ages. Its current rather poor state is the rusult of serving Czechoslovak, German and Soviet military garrisons between the years 1932 and 1991, when the last Soviet troops left. Now it is in the ownership of the town of Děčín and is gradually reconstructed into its former shape. Several renovated rooms have been turned into a museum.
