The picture is Nové Hrady Gothic castle from the early 13th century, which was first mentioned 1279 First held by the Lords of Landstein, then the Rosenberg family. In the 15th century, several captured and burned. In 1605, repaired and heavily fortified. In 1619 the castle was seized by the imperial general Charles Bonaventura Buquoy. In the family Buquoys until 1945. The castle stands on a rocky outcropping southwest of the city.
