Hi dear friends

I arrive to Praha in a cold night !

I took a walk into the centre of city and I was not prepared for the weather conditions. After 15 minutes, I felt some difficult and my hands frozen, any way I made some pictures of this lovely city.

Enjoy this view of the centre, where we can seen some monuments and the Castle in background.

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Its official name is hlavní město Praha, meaning Prague - the Capital City.
Situated on the River Vltava in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural, and economic center of the Czech state for over 1100 years. The city proper is home to more than 1.2 million people, while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of over 1.9 million.
Prague is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and is among the most visited cities on the continent. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. According to the Guiness World Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world. Nicknames for Prague have included "the mother of cities", "city of a hundred spires" and "the golden city"

Praga é a capital e a maior cidade da República Checa, situada na margem do Vltava.
Conhecida como "cidade das cem cúpulas", Praga é um dos mais belos e antigos centros urbanos da Europa, famosa pelo extenso patrimônio arquitetônico e rica vida cultural. Importante também como núcleo de transportes e comunicaçőes, é o principal centro econômico e industrial da República Checa. Capital da República Checa, situada na Boęmia central, a cidade de Praga localiza-se sobre colinas, em ambas as margens do rio Vltava (Moldávia), pouco antes de sua confluęncia com o Elba (Labe). O curso sinuoso do rio através da cidade, cheia de belas e antigas pontes, contrasta com a presença imponente do grande Castelo de Praga em Hradcany, que domina a capital na margem esquerda (oriental) do Vltava.
Praga possui uma área de 496 km˛ e uma populaçăo de 1.169.106 habitantes (censo 2001), perfazendo uma densidade demográfica de 2.357,07 hab./km˛. Sua populaçăo estimada em 1 de janeiro de 2004 era de 1.165.581 habitantes. Pelas estatísticas de emprego deduz-se que cerca de 300.000 pessoas ali trabalham sem no entanto serem residentes.

Praha je hlavní a současně největí město České republiky, historická metropole Čech. Leí ve středu Čech na řece Vltavě, uvnitř Středočeského kraje, jeho je správním centrem. Je sídlem velké části státních institucí a mnoství dalích organizací a firem. Sídlí zde té arcibiskup praské arcidiecéze, který je formální hlavou katolické církve v České republice, jako i vedení řady dalích církví a náboenských společností.
Do dnení podoby se vyvíjela jedenáct století. V současnosti se rozkládá na území 496 čtverečních kilometrů a má 1 204 897 obyvatel (údaj ČSÚ k 30. září 2007).
Praha je veobecně uznávána jako jedno z nejkrásnějích měst v Evropě. Historické centrum města s jedinečným panoramatem Praského hradu, největího hradního komplexu na světě, je památkovou rezervací UNESCO. Olá Aires,
a beautiful city and a beautiful view. This POV looking over the Moldau to the Hradschin is new to me, if I remember it right, the Charles bridge must be at the left following the curve of the Moldau. The colourful light reflections enhance the good sharpness and exposure.

Olá Aires, estou a imaginar esta captura com o frio que descreves e já me estăo a doer os dedos. 6s é suficiente para ficarem completamente congelados :)) Está lindíssima. Um pouco apertada para a igreja da esquerda e fico a pensar se ficaria melhor cortá-la, mas também seria pena pois é um bom contributo para o conjunto.

maravillosa vista nocturna de Praga, con unos reflejos excelentes creando una atmósfera misteriosa y romántica ( aunque la temperatura del ambiente fuese fría.....). Gran POV, mostrándonos la catedral iluminada y el resto de edificios.
Te felicito por realizar una gran fotografía muy difícil de realizar!

For some reason my eyes were drawn to the violet columns, next I was exploring the diagonal riverside street...
