Photographer's Note
This is a Re-Post of the photo which you have seen recently. I kept looking at it and I was not happy. I decided to make few changes. The major one is complete desaturation to black and white. The colors were kind of faded there and indicative of an old photo. I made few less obvious minor changes as well.
The note for the original photo:
To take a break from my print scans from California I decided to post some print scans from Copenhagen...
I visited this beautiful European capital twice. Once on the way to my friend in Lund, second time to visit my friend who was born and lives in Copenhagen. Both times I had rather bad luck to the weather and both visits were in pre-digital times, so the photos are even rather difficult to rescue. This was exactly the reason I had just one photo from Denmark in my TrekEarth gallery so far, in spite of having a full photo album of printed photos.
My favourite spot in Copenhagen is of course the picturesque Nyhavn. It is so colourful when you happen to be there on a good weather day. Not the case here, but there are still some colors preserved. I included a fragment of boat which has inscription Copenhagen (in Danish) and you can also spot the pub Havfruen, which I believe translates from Danish as Mermaid.

Hello Mariusz,
It is always worth experimenting with photographs, with which you feel unhappy. I remember writing that I could tell this was a scan, because of the colours.
Black and white has improved the appearance of the photograph but it feels a little harsh. I wonder how you would feel about reducing the contrast, for me, that seems to complete the improvement.
I won't critique the photograph as I did that previously.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Mariusz,
Une trčs jolie photo sortie de tes vieilles archives, ŕ l'époque oů tout était en noir et blanc. Beau petit port de mer avec de jolies maisons et de beaux bateaux.
Amicalement

Hello Mariusz,
Black and white can be a good solution when the weather is bad and the sky grey or even white. Of course the colours of the Nyhavn houses are lost now, but the textures and shapes of the reflections attract more attention now. Good contrasts, too.

Hello dear friend and have a nice time
excellent minimalistic photo
in black and white
but I can propose my personal
opinion I could say that the colors
would add more beauty and lightness
welldone both

pozdrawiam

Hello Mariusz, both versions please me, it is difficult to know which I prefer.
I like the composition where the moored boats frame the scene across the water. Attractive buildings with their reflections.
Kind regards, Jean.

Olá Mariusz,
bonita composiçăo fotográfica aqui da regiăo portuária, e acertada a opçăo pelo P&B devido aos fortes contrastes. Belo trabalho.

Hello Mariusz,
Same spot as previously presented in colors, yet the B&W format enhanced details all over the pic. space, and especially onto the reflection of the façade across.
A photojob well managed.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
Another superb b&w shot with good tonal range and sharpness and lovely reflections. The fg rope adds linear perspective. Tfs!

Mariusz, i prefer the color version than the black & white. The buildings are reflecting on the port water. Some boats were moored here at the time of the picture. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.
