Photographer's Note
The metro "system" (I guess it's still too small to be called a system) in Copenhagen is only a couple of years old, so it still looks quite clean and tidy. The trains are automatic with no driver, so there is a free panorama-view for the passengers, very popular among the kids and the odd photographer.

Wow... Feel like I'm the train... Zooming in the tunnel. I have a picture with the similar concept. It is taken in Singapore. I'll be posting it soon.

This gives a wonderful sense of movement, and is very steady for a 1 second exposure time! Well captured.

Great techno capture Torben – it almost seems surrealistic, I like it. Great dof and colours. Good that you got this shot before it is all over painted with graffiti. You have done a great job here also for the time to come when no one remember how it looked when it was still new and clean.

Just plain brilliant, and amazing. I'm unable to add anything that hasn't yet been said on this. Very dynamic feel. Excellent work, Torben.

That is really awesome. I always wanted to be able to see that, but I was never able too. Good use of the long exposure to get the streamlines.

Great tube view. The converging curves and the blur give the impression that we are being sucked in (or out of) this pipe! The composition balance and dynamic are perfect.

Amazing tunnel composition! Like something from a futuristic movie. I agree with everyone that the dynamic feeling is sensational...
Very well done!

first thing I was thinking was what was the f stop and shutter speed. I see you had it at one second second thouhgt. must be a really smooth ride to get such a sharp image with a one second exposure. I am assuming you were also using a tripod but still very sharp. Trains in japan are way to pumpy for that I think. I like the way the white or lighter colored lines trail off and pretty evenly go to about the top and bottom edges of the picture while hte center light that almost looks like a lens flair is just off center and the tunnel continues to curve off to the right. I think all of these things together going from left to right help to make this an excellent picture. Your eye is either carried from left to right following the lines to the center of hte tunnel or from teh center of the tunnel back to the camera. excellent picture.

An amazing capture of the metro's swift movement through this curved tunnel...with some imagination we could feel like a blood cell being propelled through an artery or vein :-) Well done Torben.
The was a very similar photo posted on TE some time ago but it was of cars going through a tunnel. Some of you may remember THIS photo posted by Maciej Dakowicz.
Both are superb in their own way.

Great job Torben!

What more can I add, apart from my congratulations (and two more points). I find myself leaning into the curve, as though on a motorcycle. The most visceral picture I've seen in quite some time.

Nice, clean shot! I especially like the "halo" around the bend and the movement of the picture. I understand that it was taken from up front of the train (I haven't yet travelled the Metro, although I live just on the other side of the Öresund) or did you take it from the rear? I once did that with the old Agfa camera on a train leaving Munich Ostbhf, which gave a good photo of going into the station.

I have to add my two cents worth on this delightful capture and help push it closer to the century mark. This is another example of your idiosyncratic approach to photography where anything is possible, anywhere. This is stunning. I've looked at it many times, but only today paused to note I hadn't added a critique. Me bad! Fine work Torben.

What a nice pattern created by the moving train!!!
the composition is splendidly managed which is very tough in this kind of shot as it is not easy to anticipate the resultant effect of the shoot beforehand.
the light management is also worthy of praise.
