Photographer's Note

In Greenland everybody is burried by a white wooden cross and the grave is covered with plastic flowers in all colors looking the same all year round. The simple graveyard in the valley just outside town sourrounded by the mountains reminds you that in this harsh recess nature is big and man is small. With faith in God and the spirits people accept death as part of life and on the last walk the dead are followed to a new beginning by family and loved ones.
