For me the best part of early summer in Denmark is the smell of the air by the sea; enjoying every single minute and hour of sunshine and warmth that comes my way.
The Danish weather is regulated by the country's position on the edge of the continent of Europe close to large sea areas. In the light summer months of June to August, the average daytime temperature soars up to comfortable 19şC ideal weather conditions for outdoor activities. The photo shows the old fishing village of Brunsnćs at Flensborg Fjord in South Jutland where a lonely angler was trying to catch garfish. Almost one in five grown-up Danes is angling thus making angling one of the most popular spare-time activities in Denmark. However the number of anglers in Denmark is not as high as in Finland or Sweden, but higher than in Holland and Germany. Many men pursue this sport as an individual activity, often fishing on their own in remote locations. Angling is a kind of Yoga for men: to tempt a wary fish to take the bait, it is important to avoid unnecessary physical movements, just as it is when practising yoga.

Hi Harriet,the summer is back,and we have today 33 degrees,very very hot....not so warm in your country,but truly better to take a peaceful trip close to the water,you composition is very relaxing and made with the usual top quality of detail and colors,i like it! sehr schöne Aufnahme,unter besten Wetterbedingungen aufgenommen,mit lebendigen Farben und sehr gut belichtet,

la pace e la tranquillitŕ di questo luogo sembrano essere confortate dalla presenza del pescatore, strano che sia rivolto verso la riva e non dalla parte opposta, ma non sono un pescatore, per cui non posso giudicare.

Good evening Harriet,
Houses on the waterfront in a fine beach view, with good view along the coast. The danish flag atop the mast, well in contrast to blue sky. Well allocated picture space, I like green mingle with blue, in general.

Yes, this is the peaceful atmosphere of the early summer, this place is waiting for visitors, something for me, without crowds of tourists, cars and screaming kids

I would imagine that fishing is also a very de-stressing activity as well as the yoga-like benefits.

Your shot displays a very relaxed and tranquil scene, defined by sunlight, wild flowers and the motionless fisherman. Your dof is very good, giving us crisp details throughout the scene.

This is fairly bright weather in early summer with a productive angler in stark contrast settles the focus of attention, It's immaculately detailed seascape taken from an impressive pov and sense of depth and great dof, rich colours and contrast to spotless blue sky. 19 would not be bad, in these day we have 35 degrees, very hot even for our standard in particular for early june.
the picture shows a nice coast with interesting houses and greenery.
i like the angler in fg. relaxing view.

Early summer is delightful time, with meadows full of flowers, nice temperature and very long day. Nice scene with angling. Interesting comparison of this men's business with yoga. Beautiful shot.

You have the salt water in your veins, of course you would want to be by the water in early summer. A beautiful, solitary photo. I envy this person fishing in the peace, tranquillity and beauty of this wonderful place. Excellent work, thanks for sharing.
