All my recent uploads from Copenhagen are not only black and white but they all have also some reference to bad weather in their titles.
I checked what other photos have been recently posted from Denmark and I realized Danish gallery on TrekEarth may have had a bad luck recently. I actually thought that it was a very colorful and photogenic place but I am not sure if this is the message which people would get browsing through TrekEarth.
This photo presents a scene from the Change of the Guards in front of yet another royal castle in Copenhagen: Amalienborg. As you can figure from this photo, the Change of the Guards happens no matter what the weather conditions are. My only regret here was that I didn't capture the face of the soldier in the centre but then again no face is really visible well here.
Compare with the Change of the Guards photo I took in London.

Hello Mariusz,
This changing of the guard took place in pretty bad and harsh weather conditions, although the snow on all the hats looks very nice. Playing music isn't very easy in these conditions I think. And taking photos isn't either, but you did a great job.

Hello Mariusz,
At first, I thought you were in London and your link to London proves the similarity. Of course, there, the weather has no effect on the guards changing, either.
It doesn't always excite us to go photographing in bad weather, and you probably would not have attempted this at home. But when you are on holiday you just have to make do, whatever the weather, or you would have no record!
This has worked surprisingly well. Though the weather wasn't good, you have annexed the sky and the falling snowflakes create a definite mood. It's a good composition.
We do feel sorry for these poor soldiers, having to perform in such conditions!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz, what miserable weather! You made the most of it though managing to get this shot.
I think that the black and white adds to our impression of the day. The routine of changing the guard has to go on. The snow on their busbys adds to the effect.
Very good eye catching title.
Kind regards, Jean.

Not pleasant to play with instrument in the snow.
Also take picture is not the best solution.
Pleasant to look at.
Pleasant composition.

Une trčs jolie photo noir et blanc sortie de tes archives et qui fait sourire par une journée sans soleil avec un peu de neige pour ajouter ŕ l'injure.

Mariusz, you captured this impressive ceremony under the snow. The guards are warmly dressed to endure the cold. They don t seem bothered by the weather conditions and keep playing trumpet. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Dear Mariusz
Emergency photography can be interesting, especially for photographers who prefer this kind of challenge.
Another fine photo in black and white.
It's a nice old color version.
Well done.
Kind regards
Saa

Hello Mariusz,
Looks bleak and cold with the snow flurries. Lol at the title. Good sharpness & tonal range. There was only one guard on duty when I was there. Tfs!

Hi Mariusz,
Cold impression with all these snowflakes, well presented in b&w, difficult for musicians to play with snow and wind, tfs.

Hi Mariusz
Far away from the post cards! Whatever is the weather, changing the guard should occur. I suppose there were not many photographers to witness this event!
Cheers

Hello Mariusz,
The snow had a bit ruined the picture, but from a documentary point of view it is a meaningful picture: the guard has to do the ceramony under any weather condition... pity about the dump & cold endured.
My best regards,
Ike

Hi Mariusz
For some reason this is just too funny :)
The reason why its so funny is because you KNOW the men don't want to be out there, yet they have to be. And although they're being so stoic and proper, inside their probably swearing loudly hahahaha. and I play the trumpet, so let me tell you, its VERY hard to play a trumpet or trombone in cold weather - its so hard to get the correct seal on the mouth peace. TRUST me, these guys do not want to be playing a musical instrument outside in the cold. So funny. cheers

mariusz
in london you got a special sunlight and colors to show the event, but the even with snow falling is much more rare I guess. I saw this event in some countries: colombia, greece, russia... I liked the view despite the bad conditions you got.
I only got such snow falling once in my life, in ushuaia, but it was so dark that I could to take photos, but I walked a lot celebrating the rare event of snow falling over me.
take care
jorge
