Photographer's Note
It has always interested me as to how one can climb to the top of such a tower. Would it be by ladder, or by steps going round and round. Who climbs such a ladder and what it the purpose? Is a bell run or a light lit?
The city's town hall base structure was built in a gothic style between 1371 and 1404. It is said that the minaret-like tower was inspired by an explorer who had returned from a trip to the Orient (Middle East).
It is difficult to find a tree that can offer contrast and dimension related the tower's size and shape (like the one in the photo). Besides I always like trees that add contrast and bordering to a structure.

A nice picture well framed with the trees in the left, however the lights are too strong on the tree leaves making the building and the sky loose its gloss..did a workshop to show what I tried to mean..hope you don't mind and like it.
Over all a good composition.

Ciao David
Ottima composizione e bel taglio.
Buona domenica

Hi!
Interesting object - an extremely narrow tower . The tree is a perfect element of the composition. Very good colours, sharpness.
Warm regards, Les

Hello David,
this is a very lovely composition that gives us a pleasing idea about the aesthetic character of the picturesque and interesting city. The colours look a little faded as if they had lost some of their delinition and intensity and I think that Prasenjit's workshop has managed to restore them. I had a similar effect on a photo of mine which Murat easily fixed. I love the light and the mood it brings to this view. I also like that the tall tree seems to be touching the tower. Very elegant work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great Sunday,
Ourania

Howdy David,
Perhaps the tallest medieval tower I have seen, and your vertical with neighboring tree provide dimension.
And the tower design is unique for the three onion insertions.
Well done,
cheers,
Ray

Hi dear David
Great framework image, best fit with high pole and trees. Vertical lines are so well arranged and managed. Very clear and sharp image as usual as your trademark.

Hi David,
This is an excellent composition proving that rules are meant to be broken, if you know what you are doing. "Do not place your subject smack in the middle," they say. Well, you just proved that one can and have the picture come out brilliant if you have an extra thick frame on one side. Beautiful subject, wonderfully rendered!

MT
