Märket by sunrise, a photo from Aland, South

Photographer's Note

I was a week as a volunteer as a lighthouse guard on Märekt around a year ago. As I have had quite a pause here on TrekEarth I figured I should start with what has photograhically made the strongest impression on me the last year.

The Märket lighthouse is situated on a reef about 20km from the Aland mainland. The reef is about 200m x 100m in size, highest point about 2m above sealevel.

Yes, it looks better like this.
Did you just open the old version for rework? I think there's more compression artefact visible now. They easily come more visible when already compressed JPG is reworked.

This really is a better version. The black foreground in the original version is a bit boring.
