Photographer's Note
No, I'm not loosing my mind. I just want to show shots that are not TE mainstream this week.
This is from a few years ago when balconies of the building where I live were renovated. Living in place without no view out of the windows for months is sort of depressing experience. This is from the day when the walls were washed. On top of feeling wrapped, dark brown sludge started to pour down from upper floors.
TE aspect? Thousands of Finns moved from country to cities during 60's and 70's. And it was mainly new suburbs were people moved to. A lot of blocks of flats were constructed with new materials and tight budget and schedule. And during 2000's a lot of them are going through major renovations. Area of Hervanta where I live was developed in 70's from a forest to suburb of more that 20000 inhabitants and one university in less than 10 years.

Hi Kari
Interesting to see your move away from the TE mainstream. Interesting note on the building of these apartment blocks - looks like they were built for convenience rather than quality. A good depiction of the internal features and structure of these apartments. TFS

I think this is quite an intriguin and abstract yet at the same time very poignant shot :) What I find particularly interesting in this shot is that reflection in the window that seems like there is a shot of fire or something coming out of the table lamp :)
I think that without the handle on the window it would be quite impossible to recognize any of this... excellent move away from mainstream TE and brilliant level of patience... perhaps even that proper Finnish sisu? ;D
All the best,
Julia

Hi Kari,
Very graphic view of the event. Therefore, it's a good picture to show that reality.
It seems as bad as staying in prison (which I don't know) or hospital (which I do know)...
