Probably in places des Vosges, isn't it? Amazing compositon with the strong addiction of the bird flying away. Great control of focus and depth. Not sure b&w works better than colors here.

This is such a lovely, evocative photo, Stephane! The single hand is so well placed, and the mixture of sharp and blurry birds is really wonderful.

Un bel instantané en NB. La PDC est excellente: trčs belle mise au point sur la main et les oiseaux qui viennent y manger, l'autre oiseau qui s'envole rend la scčne vraiment trčs réelle.

Tout d'abord au sujet de la DOF, elle est parfaite, je crois que c'est le premier détail qui m'a frappé.
Une image pleine de vie et on devine les frémissements des ailes de ces oiseaux.

j'aime bien toute ta série sur les piafs parisiens qui sont trčs attachants, voir craquants.
le noir et blanc est trčs bien vu... la profondeur de champ n'est pas toujour égale mais je pense que cela a dű ętre difficile de réussir ces photos;
Mais ce qui m'étonne c'est le nombre de photos animaličres de ton album alors qu'elles devraient ętre plus sur TN ou TL que sur TE... Cela ne me dérange pas du tout mais j'ai pu lire plusieurs fois des histoires de photos enlevées... etc

Wonderful image.
I noticed in Italy the wild birds also eat from the hand but here in the UK they nervously avoid any human contact. I wonder what they know about us British.

I've seen several shots like this from you and this one is a nice one indeed. The "gathering" on the hand, the flying "mus", the perfect B/W, so sweet to see the birds in this way, great !
