Photographer's Note

The Gave is the name of the streams in the Pyrenees ... here a view taken on the banks of the Gave on the Plateau de Cayan. An altitude plateau that I have often presented with posts on TE but most often with a perspective towards the slopes towards the South, here, here is a view towards the North.

a well exposed winter scene, the clear blue sky probably helps the white balance. A well chosen PoV to have the river leading in from the corner.

A very nicely composed photo dominated by the dark stream winding its way across the snow covered field. The tall trees are also fine eye-catchers. You exposed this perfectly.

Le ruisseau envoie mon regard au loin ce qui donne de la profondeur ŕ la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des montagnes. le reflet de la lumičre sur la neige rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

Uma bela composiçăo com este pequeno riacho em meio ŕ neve. Interessante a vegetaçăo que aparece nas margens. Gosto de ver estas árvores, as montanhas e o céu azul atrás.

Hello Jean,

This is a lovely scene.
The snow covered ground looks virgin, cut only by the the dark, meandering path of the stream, which guides us effectively towards the tall, conifer trees and eventually the mountain slopes.

The narrow stream adds a nice curve through the heavy snow. The trees are well placed in the middle of this vertical composition. Well captured in fine sunlight.

beautiful mountain scenery with the snow decorating it so nicely. Very well composed with the stream making a eye pleasing turn in the foreground. I always admire your well captured snow surfaces, bright but with excellent details.

this one stands out well, I always like these tall vertical shots, they have more impact in my opinion. for obvious reasons, it flows well starting at the lower left and snakes its way upwards. bright and clear all the way
