Saint-Xist church.

The Saint-Xist church of the 10th century, romanesque or pre-romanesque, mentioned in the cartulaire of Vabres-l'Abbye into 940, is elegant with its bell-tower which dominates a hamlet.

It is an association created into 1995 which saved the church of brambles, the ruin and the lapse of memory and completed to restore it in 2004.
A botanical garden was created in place of old supposed garden of the priest.

Le Clapier is a french commune, located in the department of Aveyron of the Middi-Pyrenees area, populated of 65 Clapierois in 1999, distributed out of 20 km², that is to say 3 hab./km².

The village is located at 640 m of altitude in front of causse of the Larzac, whose edge is announced by large clear cliffs.

It is a place appreciated by the researchers of all Europe for the study of geology and the interest of marnes black with marine fossils.
